Our competition has ended and we would like to thank all those who were true Mormon World Record Makers, and also those who were the purveyors of Amazing Firsts, Facts and Feats.

Even though we no longer offer a prize please feel free to be a Mormon World Record! and make the attempt.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Domino toppling – solo effort

Domino stacking

Most hits by lightning

Longest elevator fall survival

Longest potato flight by a potato gun

Longest pumpkin launch

Longest human cannon ball

Balanced anything (bowling balls, golf balls, books on head, heaviest weight on head, etc.)

Most of anything eaten

Most clothes pins pinched on a face

Most of anything involving animals/fish/birds/insects or anything in shortest time (sheep sheared (manual or electric), cows milked by hand, chickens plucked, fish caught (not at a trout farm!), roaches eaten, worms eaten, etc.)

Tight-rope walk: steepest, highest, longest, blindfolded, backwards, etc.

Farthest plane/car/boat/truck/train pull by one man or woman, or a team of pullers

Largest ball of twine, foil, plastic, wire, etc.

Largest thing: wooden swing, abacus, ax, rifle, outhouse, telescope, wooden spoon, clock, shirt, butter sculpture, towel, collections of anything (pigs, cows, canes, bugs), etc.

Largest group: dancing, human pyramid, lap sit, game, hug, pillow fight, whoopee cushion sit, human domino line, kissing, blowing bubbles, brushing/flossing teeth, simultaneous balloon popping, leap frogging, human conveyor belt, car cramming, seated atop each other in a chair, pillow fight, eating green Jell-O at a sporting event, drinking milk at a sporting event, line dance, line kick, largest "row row row your boat" sectional (100 sections), etc.

Smallest anything: kite, tie, house, fishing pole, bicycle, etc.

LONGEVITY

Who has held the same calling the longest in any Church assignment?

Most distant direct ancestor (no, the oft-used Royal Lineage or Adam & Eve leaps to fame don't count!)

FRUITS & VEGETABLES

Largest/smallest/quantity of any fruit or vegetable; Strangest looking; Tree with the most different fruit

Heaviest: cabbage, potato, tomato, pumpkin, squash, peach, watermelon, etc.

Largest: flower, garden, leaf, rose bush, seed collection, weed, corn cob, pine cone, etc.

Age: oldest tree, shrub, flower, vine, etc.

Tallest: plant, tree, cactus, hedge, shrub, bush,

ANIMALS

Largest/smallest/strangest of any animal (especially horse, cow, pig, cat, dog, hamster, guinea pig, bird)

Largest litter, tail, feet, load carried, etc.

Animal Tricks: most tennis balls held in mouth at one time, largest repertoire of tricks, etc.

Fastest: between litters, running, opening a house or car door, etc.

Most (for animals): toes, eyes, ears, etc.

Highest surviving climb, jump, fall (for animals)

Longest: tail, whiskers, claws, life span

Oldest, youngest to do anything; to live

SPORTS:

Sprints – female and male champions in all age groups

Distance Runners – female champions in all age groups

Yo-yo competition

Organized sports superlatives (first, last, most, farthest, closest, etc.)

Highest shallow dive

Longest bicycle/unicycle/in-line skates/skateboard ride forwards or backwards

Fastest bicycle/unicycle/in-line skates/skateboard ride forwards or backwards

Most repetitions in one minute/hour/day/year, etc. (jump rope, arm curls, pushups, one-arm pushups, etc.)

Most Hula-hoops hooped

Pogo-stick: fastest, farthest, endurance

Chess competition champ in all ages

Intelligence or recall contests of all kinds

BODY

Longest beard

Longest interval between births for one mother

Longest survivor on an artificial heart; dialysis

Most operations endured

Most amputations

Youngest or oldest heart/kidney/pancreas/lung transplant patient

Youngest multi-organ transplant patient

WEIRDNESS!

Strangest anything (Stupid Human tricks, gross, sickening, most of this or that eaten (spiders, mayonnaise, marshmallows), creepy, gives me the willies, etc.)
